Kuvalis Components price hike drove July margin compression
Margin pressure was primarily caused by a documented supplier price increase from Toy - Kuvalis Components, not just lower sales. A notice dated 2026-06-15 made the unit price adjustment effective immediately, which was permitted under the master supply agreement with written notice. In purchasing data, Kuvalis’s average unit price rose from 14.87 in June to 24.01 in July (+61.5%), spend increased from 1,401.23 to 2,982.94 (+112.9%), and gross margin percentage fell from 92.7% to 89.7% as July revenue also declined.
